Faridnagar

Faridnagar is a town and Nagar Panchayat in Modinagar Tehsil in Ghaziabad District of Uttar Pradesh.
A historical town, founded by Nawab Farid-Ud-Din during the reign of Akbar the great. Once upon a time very prosperous town. Known for its textile industry and khandsari udyog.Famous for its "Kalakand" the kind of sweet made from milk and sugar. This small town was given status of Nagarpalika along with Kanpur on the same day. U can see the difference of development between the two places now.
